Minor Character Sheet-OC Meme
The Minor Character Sheet: a writing aid for all fiction creators, from fantasy authors to comic writers. A helpful guideline tool for anyone who wants to create well-rounded, plot hole-free casts :)
This is the minor character sheet, full of things that might be useful to know about minor cast members. There is another, much longer sheet for main characters. These are all geared toward protagonists, but can be applied to villains too.
Text in [brackets] is just for clarification of how to answer the preceding question. Also, since I hate writing "him or her" and I will not write "they" when the subject is singular, I am assuming masculinit

Instructions:
Your character has been arrested, out of the blue.
For what? Who knows.
When and where? Up to you.
Your character has been dragged into one of those little interrogation rooms - the ones with the big one-way mirror (where your character can stare lovingly into his/her/its own reflection while creeping out the people beyond the glass). If your character has super-powers or advanced technology or has some forceful means of retaliation these cops don't care. They have whatever means necessary to keep your character where they are. You're supposed to know just as much about why your character has been arrested as your character

INTERVIEW YOUR CHARACTER
(YOUNG ADULT VERSION)
CONCEPT:
Choose an original character you have created. All questions must be answered from the character's perspective. The character should remain "in character" throughout the interview. The character may refuse to answer a given question, but must say something in reply to it. The character must answer truthfully, but that does not necessarily mean that their answers must be true, only that the character believes them to be true. Have fun.

It's just that I appreciate all of the tutorials here on dA that have helped me out, and I want to put a little bit of my own methods back in.
Is your character feeling a little bit stilted? Do you want to find a way to flesh him out a bit so that he'll be more three-dimensional? Well, here's an activity to get you started on the right path.
I call this activity Running the Gamut .
Everyone feels the same feelings. Everyone feels happy, sad, angry, afraid, in

Setting
Time/Era: Exact year or approximate time
Name of Country: For fun, you could alter the name of an old country to amuse more educated readers. For example, I altered the Assyrian Empire's name for a conquering people to evoke images of brutality and Mesopotamia.
Geography: Keep track of all the places you mention and their approximate locations. I find it handy to draw a rough map of the area.
Landscape: Trees, soil, water, buildings... Imagine you were flying over the place in an airplane. What would you
